On The Off-Season, J. Cole raps like:

• he’s on a crusade to make any other raps irrelevant
• when he’s featured on someone else’s song
• surgeons play his CDs during operations to keep a patient’s heart rate elevated
• his rhymes never skip leg day-he recorded everything song after not eating for 3 days
• he’s lobbying for his lyrics to be added to the food group pyramid as a meat
• he has to eat ice cubes in the booth because his teeth get too hot from the fire-spitting
